Yorkville Patios

Yorkville’s Stylish Patios

Patios are booming in Toronto’s post-lockdown summer celebration, and those in the Yorkville area are no exception. Known as a nexus for art, culture and all things swanky, Yorkville also boasts some of the city’s most popular patios. This year, the Bloor-Yorkville BIA has amplified the locale’s already appealing outdoor dining experience with murals and painted enhancements from local artist Kirsten McCrea.

The Oxley (121 Yorkville Ave)

Whether seeking the Yorkville sights or craving something more private and cozy, The Oxley has it covered with two distinct patios. The front patio faces the often-buzzing Hazelton Hotel while the Oxley’s back patio provides shelter from Yorkville’s unique brand of liveliness. Simple and minimalist, both patios are charming locations to enjoy The Oxley’s version of traditional English gastropub fare.

Sofia (99 Yorkville Ave)

Sofia’s patio combines art, food, and atmosphere. The al fresco dining area set back from the street delivers a semi-private space to enjoy the restaurant’s modern take on traditional Italian cuisine. Either before, during, or after a visit to Sofia’s patio, it’s worth stepping inside the restaurant to take in its pop-art adorned walls.

ONE Restaurant (116 Yorkville Ave)

This Yorkville hotspot owned by celebrity chef Mark McEwan offers a perfect sidewalk vantage point to people-watch or be watched. The restaurant’s captivating decor was created by award-winning design group Yabu Pushelberg, and the enchanting feel extends to its tree-lined, cobblestone patio. The restaurant’s sublime culinary offerings take patio dining to an entirely new level.
